A Mid-Century sterling silver tie bar from the workshop of the highly regarded Georg Jensen. This piece is quite classic in design, and has the traits of silver designed in Scandanvia during the middle part of the 20th Century. The piece has design registration marks of '61' and 'B' for the size. This particular pattern has made in different lengths. The piece was designed for Jensen by Harald Nielsen. Nielsen, who married into the Jensen family, started as a chasers apprentice in 1909, and remained with the firm, eventually becoming the Smithy, and design director in 1958.
